What have I been up to.......????
It's been quite awhile since my last post... I tried to do my posting in the office, but it seems like there are some problems using the blog in my office PC, thus I had been away for quite some time.
Anyway, my family and I had went to Malacca, a 3D2N stay. We hadn't been there before and neither had hubby drove there once. So it was kind of our 1st long driving outing to Malaysia... We took our chance, used our GPR but our GPR keep prompting us to exit to the small route to Malacca:-p We ignored it and drove straight along the highway and finally managed to found our exit to Malacca. It was a very smooth, long drive, except for the road blocks and car accident along the way up. Coming back was pretty smooth too. No hiccups, except that every time after we stopped over and drove off, MiMi will tell us that she is urgent and she needed to pee...hahaha...
Here are some of the pictures I took from our trip... This is one of the chicken stall that we went to. Malacca's famous chicken rice balls. There were a few shops selling the chicken rice, but we went to this Famosa Chicken Rice shop, of which its queue wasn't too long. We don't really fancy the chicken balls too well, we preferred the normal rice.
For the 1st night, we stayed in Mahkota Hotel. I have booked a 2 bedroom. Very spacious, with a living area, dining area and a kitchen. But of course we didn't get the chance to use much of the living area or the kitchen. Nice apartment but abit rundown... Perhaps the hotel could do some renovations soon and the hotel will be excellent!
We arrived about 6pm in the evening, so we headed straight to Mahkota Parade Shopping Mall to have our dinner and deserts... hahahaha...
The 2nd day, we check-in to Hotel Equatorial, a five star hotel, which was definitely much better. As for location wise, it was so much nearer to the shopping malls, the heritage buildings and Jonker Street.
Here are some of the food that we came across with... Lots of food.... Like the chendol, durian puffs, ice-cream, BBQ cuttlefish, those piah, pineapple tarts. And of course, shops that the kids fancy...
This is Hotel Equatorial. We had a very beautiful view from the hotel, day & night. The gals liked this hotel very much. And of course, needless to say, their favourite place in the hotel, the nice, huge swimming pool....
Part of the reason for this trip to Malacca, was also to celebrate Nat's 5th birthday. A little getaway for her... So we bought her a slice of her chocolate cake from Secret Recipe...
This is 3rd day, our more food trying in Jonker Street.... Yummy, the Baba Chicken Laksa, the Fried Fish Cake, the Durian Chendol... Awesome....!!!!
That was our trip... A good one, but we will be expecting to go back to Malacca in July again... Hubby and I had decided that we should go back there again to try the food that we have yet to try out... For the gals, the swimming pool & shopping... Me... shopping too!!! Yipee...
See you Malacca, in July soon...;))
